A 4th of July Hike

Adam Washousky

This 4th of July was different and unique. We drove down to Alamosa, Colorado to the Great Sand Dunes National Park for some adventuring and exercise. We accomplished an 11.2 mile hike high about the dunes sitting at a peak summit of 11k feet! Stay fit all. Get out and exercise/train your mind, body, and spirit.

Into the storm! Are we really doing this?

Stomping up Horsetooth Mountain in Fort Collins, Colorado with some ominous looking clouds! An impromptu summit of Tower Mountain was the cherry on top escaping the rain! Great 360 degree views 7500k feet up of Wyoming, Denver, Rocky Mountain National Park, Loveland, Boulder, Fort Collins, and the Eastern plains! @adamwashousky

A Special Birthday…

Snorkeling in Key West!

This past year birthdays have been altered due to the pandemic. With the reopening and decline in cases we decided to fly to our home away from home Florida for a special birthday celebration. It was bittersweet and I encourage anyone who has the time and means to travel. It allows for perspective, insight, and hopefully a chance to take a break from the real world and fill your soul with relaxation and peace.

This year we traveled to Key West and unconventionally stayed on a boat. The boat was a change for both of us and it allowed us to adapt and work together. Below is a shot of us snorkeling (one of our favorite activities) at Higgs Beach, Key West.

An impromptu visit to Texas

After our Rockies game was snowed out we decided to drive to Amarillo, Texas to hike the Palo Duro Canyon. The weather was warm and the exercise was intense. The Palo Duro Canyon is the 2nd largest canyon in the United States only second The Grand Canyon. With some beautiful scenery, challenging trails, and scares to prove it, we logged 6 miles of grueling on and off trail terrain and elevation. We are very blessed and grateful to have had this opportunity.
